Community Manager

Monstercat is looking for a social savvy and service-oriented Community Manager to stoke and maintain a positive and supportive online fan community in line with Monstercat values. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this role will oversee and engage our online moderators as well as support the greater Monstercat online community via various social platforms and inbound inquiries. This role is ideal for someone with a customer service or sales background, who is very social and outgoing online, and is excited by the opportunity to use their online klout to support the development of a great brand experience for our fans.

The Role…

Community Management

  • Act as Admin in our online communities
  • Manage and support the Moderator team

Social Media Support

  • Fan support for questions in the Monstercat Discord and Reddit threads
  • Support our Content Manager to respond to fan inquiries/comments on socials

Customer Support

  • Handle all inbound fan-related support inquiries: merch, claims, Gold, general
  • Proactively perform outbound support – seek out upset customers via socials


  • Upsell Monstercat apparel or Gold memberships, where relevant


About You…

  • Previous music/gaming/other industry experience
  • Previous customer support and/or sales experience
  • Very social online
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written, with an extroverted and amicable writing style
  • Ability to influence and mobilize our community
  • Great sense of humour
  • Responsible, driven, curious
  • Proficient at managing multiple projects, staying organized, and prioritising effectively
  • Problem solver, critical thinker
  • Willing to keep an eye on socials outside of “office hours” and step in when required
  • An interest in learning the Monstercat’s business model and music catalogue
  • Bonus points for having previously managed a YouTube, Twitch and/or Mixer channel
  • Bonus points for knowing multiple languages (English, Spanish, German, Portuguese, French, Russian are ideal)
