Digital Marketing Manager (18 Months)

The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for developing Best Buy Canada’s digital marketing objectives, strategies and plans, across digital channels including paid search, display, and social media to drive traffic in-store and online. This individual will ensure effective brand management of all online and social media communications to maintain brand consistency. The Digital Marketing Manager will also work with internal experts (in fields of digital media, search, analytics, audiences and more) to drive the development of new digital marketing capabilities and make recommendations on how to improve or optimize digital marketing campaigns that leverage audience-based, data-driven strategies and tactics that drive stronger personalization and optimal business results.

As a Digital Marketing Manager you will…

  • Define and lead paid digital marketing strategies across Paid Search, Display and Paid Social that maximize Best Buy Canada’s paid digital marketing effectiveness
  • Initiate and lead category-level strategic planning and execution and own key channel drivers of paid/earned properties
  • Develop and maintain key advertising partner relationships including managing rate negotiation, innovation opportunities and performance improvements
  • Lead and develop direct reports responsible for driving category performance
  • Drive continuous improvement in digital marketing effectiveness, including CPM, CPC, ROAS, and conversion metrics through data-driven analysis

The experience we need…

  • 5+ years of paid media planning & buying experience, including programmatic media, social and search
  • 5+ years of experience in developing and managing digital marketing campaigns for a mid to large size organization
  • 2-3+ years of leadership experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Business Administration with a focus in Marketing or 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Marketing platforms (Google Marketing Platform, Facebook Marketing Suite)
  • Data Driven Marketer fluent in Analytics on either Adobe or Google Analytics ( bonus points for both!)
  • Knowledgeable in using and maximizing audiences via a DMP (AAM or GA360)
  • Expertise in paid channels including display, social, search video, and influencer marketing

Bonus points…

  • Google and other digital media certifications
  • MBA or relevant experience
