Who we are
Yoga is our core, but we also make specialized, technical gear for runners, dancers, bikers, sweaty generalists and stretchy-pants lovers alike. We have a passion for design and visual storytelling and love to spark conversations to create engaging and evocative experiences for
our guests. Our global vision remains the same as it was when we were selling gear out of a Vancouver yoga studio in 1998: to inspire and enable people to live happy, healthy, fun lives by creating technical, athletic gear to get sweaty in.

About this team
On the Product Education Team, you will work cross functionally with our Product Design and Merchandising departments to create strategy that delivers technical and informative copy that educates our guest on why we design each product. Your teams words, on our website, on our packaging, and beyond will help to educate and inspire our guests.

A day in the life
You have a passion for powerful product education and an eye for creating best-in-class
experiences for your audience through considered content. The thought of quality product
descriptions makes your heart skip a beat and you get excited about creating unique guest-
centric experiences. You’l need to bring your A game, have strong writing chops and manage
multiple projects at one time.

We’re al about relationships so you’l be working with some rad people across a bunch of
departments including Product Education, Merchandising, Product Design and Development,
Brand and more.

What we are looking for:

  • 7+ years of professional copywriting and editing experience
  • Ability to concept and create partnership with different disciplines
  • Ability to bring genuine, original creative ideas to the table
  • Understanding of the structure of a brand’s identity—how the visual and verbal

executions come together to create a holistic brand experience

  • Recognition of a products teams needs and ability to translate them into technical copy
  • Effective presentation skills, whether for internal or cross-functional project reviews
  • Constant awareness of the industry, including groundbreaking ideas, emerging

technologies and business solutions

  • Ability to provide effective direction through all phases of storytelling creation—internally and with external partners
  • A passion for mentoring and ideating with junior creative team members
  • Demonstration of extraordinary communication skills and meticulous eye for detail
  • A positive energy in everything you create and everyone you meet

  • Integration of fun and joy as a way of being and working (aka doesn’t take yourself too

Core Capabilities:

  • Partner with the Product Education Manager + Director to strategize what it means to

produce intentional, impactful content

  • Build working relationships with our Copy Writers and develop their writing skill s to

create technical, innovative, inspiring and clean copy (be a ‘word nerd’)

  • Perform reviews and proof of content for packaging, labels and online product education
  • Work with creative teams to understand and support creative intent including themes,

tone and enabling accurate adaptations and authentic voice casting when needed

  • Support Product Education Manager in managing Copy Writer workflow
  • Oversee and edit our seasonal content library by leading routine content audits and

establish best practices for ongoing improvement

  • Transcreate any urgent content and support immediate business needs
  • Key part of the proofreading phase of all major writing processes, including hang tags,

digital platforms, and visual merch campaigns

  • Proactively pursue excellence in writing quality and consistency across al product

categories that the Product Education Writers own

  • Creation and maintenance of Product Education writing guidelines
  • Bring genuine, original creative ideas to the table
