Marketing Coordinator

Raymond James Ltd. is looking for a Marketing Associate to join the Cathedral Branch in downtown
Raymond James Ltd. (RJL) is Canada’s leading independent investment dealer offering high quality
investment products and services to Canadians seeking customized solutions to their wealth
management needs.
The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for conducting market and prospect research,
strategizing and developing marketing proposals, reports and keeping up-to-date with the industry’s
latest developments, trends, competitors and promotion opportunities. This position will support a
variety of individual business, working with Financial Advisors.
The candidate must demonstrate a high standard of professionalism, strong time-management
capabilities, excellent writing skills and careful attention to detail.
Specifically you will:
 Plan, direct and implement marketing communication requests from Financial Advisors;
 Develop and maintain social media strategies to increase visibility and traffic;
 Write and edit content for internal and external websites and other marketing materials;
 Ensure key, strategic messages are communicated effectively to target audiences;
 Develop keyword and linking strategies to improve website search results;
 Create innovative ideas that tie web, mobile, email, search, social and traditional
advertising together to provide solutions based on consumer insight and data;
 Analyze and report on results of search engine marketing campaigns; and
 Other duties as assigned.
To qualify for this opportunity you possess:
 Minimum of 1-2 years Marketing/Communications work experience in a professional
services firm;
 An undergraduate degree or equivalent in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or
English or related;
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
 Excellent email and telephone etiquette;
 Previous experience writing for the web is an asset;
 Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and
 Experience with Photoshop and InDesign software is an asset;
 A dependable team player with the ability to work independently;
 A demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and good organizational skills;
 Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast paced environment; and
 A genuine interest in the financial services industry;
