Marketing Manager

    • Smart, Savvy + Associates has partnered with our client, a passionate organization dedicated to BC’s forestry sector, in their search for a Marketing Manager for a 12-14 month maternity leave contract. The Marketing Manager will oversee communications projects, work with suppliers and stakeholders, and provide creative direction for marketing initiatives.

About the role:

    • Support all marketing and communications projects and initiatives
    • Ensure timely delivery of quality services
    • Provide creative direction for online platforms and digital and print tools
    • Provide creative direction for marketing materials including websites, videos, advertisements, factsheets, brochures, presentations and educational resources
    • Manage events and tradeshows
    • Negotiate requirements to successfully manage suppliers and contractors
    • Minimal travel required
    • Develop and execute communications strategies and annual calendar to promote programs and

About you:

    • 5+ years’ experience in marketing and communications
    • Post-secondary education in marketing and/or communications
    • Background in promotions management considered an asset
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with teams, suppliers and stakeholders
    • Contract negotiation skills
    • Experience managing graphic design concepts for print and web assets
    • Experience driving engagement through content strategy and content creation
    • Proven digital advertising experience
    • Experience with online marketing initiatives including managing websites and social media platforms
    • Excellent project management and multi-tasking skills
    • Self-motivated with the ability to deliver on multiple projects within similar time frames
    • Experience in a wood manufacturing or building sector considered an asset
