Job Description

Elements Casino Surrey is looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Specialist to join our Marketing Team.

As the Marketing Specialist, you are responsible for the development and implementation of casino direct mail campaigns, property promotions, property marketing support as needed, events and sponsorship. You will help develop email templates and landing pages as needed, coordinate advertising campaigns, and assist with the deployment of other marketing initiatives.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates direct mail campaigns, developing copy, working with vendors to develop and deploy, to ensure best in class fulfillment with guests and standard operating procedures for ongoing analysis to enhance results of these campaigns
  • Drafts project briefs as required
  • Coordinates and implements casino promotions as directed, including drafting promotional guidelines, contest conditions, production and delivery of promotional materials and ongoing communication with Guest Services
  • Trains and provides guidance with new team members
  • Coordinates, implements, monitors and follows up on company supported community events and sponsorships (e.g., Annual BC Casinos Golf Tournament)
  • Monitors and maintains budgets for community events, sponsorships, select promotions and electronic media; reports variances
  • Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, management, employees, vendors, sponsors, community organizers and regulators
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-Secondary education in Marketing, with at least 3 years of on the job experience in the Marketing field;
  • Experience using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is an asset;
  • High level of computer literacy, including strong Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe skills;
  • Proven experience managing and creating engaging social media content;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • The ability to efficiently manage projects and deadlines while being extremely organized;
  • Adaptable and flexible work schedule (evenings, weekends and holidays as needed;
  • Experience multitasking and prioritizing in a constantly changing team environment;
  • The ability to obtain a Serving It Right Certificate;
  • The ability to obtain & maintain a criminal record and credit check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch;
  • A reliable mode of transportation available for varying event hours and locations.
