As Senior Communications Manager for P&C reporting to the Director of Communications, you will work closely with our senior leadership team and program leads to drive effective communications that recognize and empower team members. In partnership, you will encourage and support the well-being of team members and their families by sharing simplified, personalized solutions that differentiate TELUS in the marketplace and balance the diverse needs of our team members with the needs of our business.

      and effective communications strategies

    • Understand, analyze and simplify complex problems and
      assembles appropriate resources to tailor communications strategies and tactics

    • Create and curate strategic narratives/compelling storylines
      that connect our people to our business objectives and what matters most at an individual level
    • Drives innovation by looking for new ways of working, exploring
      best practices and challenging communications channels in new and effective ways
    • Clear, concise and articulate in all aspects of communication,
      including excellent verbal, writing and editing skills
    • Solid understanding of digital channels
    • Able to tailor messages to specific audiences
  • Communications Leadership:
    • Develops and implements proactive and reactive communications
  • Consultant and Advisor:
    • Demonstrates superior client service and takes a consultative
      approach while working closely with our senior leadership team, program leads
      and key internal and external stakeholders
  • Analytical Thinker:
    • Understands, analyzes and optimizes complex business problems,
      issues and challenges
  • Keen observer of the business:
    • Attains comprehensive knowledge of the issues facing the technology
      sector, understands industry trends and effective people practices

  • 8years or more of communications experience in a similarly large and complex organization
  • Undergraduate degree in a related discipline is required or extensive related business experience in a senior communications or marketing communications role
  • Additional post-secondary education, an accredited public relations, communications or marketing designation
