OVERVIEW

An exciting and challenging position exists as a Senior Email Marketing Specialist at Vega’s head office in Burnaby, BC. Reporting to the Manager, eCommerce + Digital Marketing you will be responsible for working closely with the Digital Marketing and Vega’s in-house Creative Team to lead and manage the email marketing program. Day to day, you will develop and manage the email content and testing calendar, collaborate with the Creative team to brief and review email content assets, and manage external automation agencies to implement email automations and personalization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, manage and continuously optimize monthly email content marketing strategy and calendar that aligns with business product, revenue, sponsorship and marketing content calendar priorities
  • Develop, manage and analyze A/B testing strategies and apply testing results to email program to continuously improve email marketing performance
  • Manage Salesforce CRM lists to build email segments for email targeting
  • Analyze email performance results including engagement, traffic and sales driven to optimize email programs
  • Provide monthly email program results to stakeholders outlining email activities, enhancements, engagement and sales performance, subscriber list growth and opportunities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Digital Marketing, eCommerce, Customer Experience and Creative Teams to develop creative and launch emails to promote products, launches, and content to drive ecommerce sales
  • Lead the strategy for email subscriber acquisition and growth
  • Lead the management of external automation agencies to build and optimize email automations and dynamic email personalization content within email templates and automated journeys
  • Provide additional support to digital marketing and ecommerce team as required

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience B2C email marketing including building and automating emails
  • 2-3 years experience with enterprise email automation platforms, Salesforce Marketing Cloud is preferred
  • Proficiency with HTML, SQL and CSS
  • Experience analyzing email performance via email automation platforms (ie. Salesforce Marketing Cloud) and web analytics platforms (ie. Google Analytics)
  • Demonstrated success in building, launching and scaling email marketing programs through segmentation and automated journeys
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills as well as the ability to multitask among a multitude of projects and responsibilities
  • Strong analytical skills – ability to report concisely, analyze results to optimize all efforts
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • A self-starter with ability to problem-solve in a fast paced environment
  • Understand importance of branding and functions within Marketing Department
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing best practices and industry standards
  • An enthusiasm for the latest digital and ecommerce trends and technologies
  • Performance-driven with a desire to take on a high level of responsibility
  • Displays strong professionalism and ability to work well with others
  • Proven ability to work in a deadline driven and fast paced environment, while maintaining accuracy is essential
