What We’re Looking For

We’re on the lookout for an experienced and talented Senior Paid Search Strategist to join our growing team in Vancouver! The Senior Paid Search Strategist is a key role on the team, and is responsible for strategizing, analyzing and executing on clients’ digital advertising efforts across Google, Bing, Facebook, YouTube, and other channels. Working with individual client teams, and reporting to our Search and Data Director, the Senior Strategist will be tasked with ensuring that all deliverables are presented on time and meet client objectives, as well as team mentorship and sales support as an extension of your senior knowledge.

The Senior Strategist we’re looking for has very strong core technical knowledge across Paid Search and Paid Social advertising platforms, direct experience with a plethora of other advertising and analytic platforms, and is also capable of creating a strategic vision for an account, making key decisions about what steps need to be taken and what resources are required, and execute on these strategies independently and confidently, with little supervision. We’re looking for someone who carries a confident authority and nurturing team spirit as only veterans in the digital advertising space can.

More About What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years working in a paid search and paid social marketing capacity, in either an in-house or agency environment, the latter being an asset

  • Extensive knowledge and active experience of the Google Ads platform (Search, Display, Shopping, Video, Audience Remarketing, Dynamic Ads, etc.)

  • Direct experience within the ecommerce digital space (Google Analytics Enhanced Ecommerce implementation, Google & Bing Shopping ads, Facebook DPAs, etc.)

  • Extensive knowledge and active experience of the Facebook Ads platform (Facebook, Instagram, eCommerce, Dynamic Ads, etc.)

  • Extensive knowledge and active experience with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager

  • Knowledge of and experience with Google Data Studio an asset, but not required

  • Knowledge of and experience with ecommerce platforms like Shopify and Magento an asset, but not required

  • Knowledge of and experience with Amazon Ads an asset, but not required

  • Knowledge of and experience with SEO best practices an asset, but not required

  • Strong presentation skills and comfortable contributing in client/sales meetings

  • Ability to maintain job performance and a positive attitude in a growing and evolving organization

What You’ll Get To Do

  • Develop, execute and support client digital advertising strategies across various platforms end-to-end, from the acquisition & exploration phase, to long-term execution & optimization

  • Communicate regularly with Account Managers ensuring their clients’ goals are being met and are happy with Major Tom services

  • Meet with Major Tom agency partners and work with these partners to plan and execute client campaigns

  • Occasionally assist Major Tom sales staff initial assessments and sales meetings as required

  • Create monthly reports and dashboards for clients that offer insights into initiatives undertaken by Major Tom Marketing

  • Monitor client marketing initiatives on a regular basis to ensure that the activities undertaken match the budget of the project and will help the client achieve their goals

  • Proactively make strategic campaign recommendations to Account Managers and clients to both satisfy KPIs and to expand client business
