Social Media Specialist

We’re looking for a creative, dynamic, agile social specialist to join our growing Social Team. The Social Media Specialist strategizes and executes Lush’s social endeavors to support the overall organizational strategy.

The successful candidate will continue to build Lush North America’s online cult following (without paid advertising), manage campaign planning, provide channel analytics and reporting, and provide best in class content calendars for our social channels.

Reporting to the Social Media Manager, the Social Media Specialist undertakes the following RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive social content planning
  • Planning, scheduling, and posting on Lush’s North American channels (including YouTube, Twitter, and Snapchat)
  • Providing trend research and forecasting, as well as competitive insights for channels
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure consistency and increase awareness of Lush’s brand stories
  • Finding opportunities for diversity and inclusivity
  • Ongoing optimization for existing channel content
  • Asset Management
  • Creating strategic briefs, managing asset timelines, ensuring assets delivered on time and to channel standards, managing approvals (as needed)
  • Holistic social campaign planning
  • Bringing campaigns to life across all owned social channels
  • Preparing content recommendations for all social channels
  • Bringing approved creative to other social specialist for asset requests ahead of production period
  • Channel analytics and reporting
  • Reporting against KPI’s on a weekly basis
  • Helping prepare data for monthly and quarterly business reports
  • Tracking channel success against department KPI’s, providing rationale and recommendations as needed

You bring the following QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:

  • Degree, diploma or certificate in: Social Media, Journalism, Digital Design, Broadcasting, Communications, Digital Marketing or related field
  • Minimum two years of experience in a related social media position – need to demonstrate a compelling track record and deep understanding of the social media ecosystem, content planning, and execution
  • Experience in copywriting and producing content for YouTube, Snapchat, Twitter
  • A love for digital innovation and a finger on the pulse of digital trends
  • Knowledge of channel analytics and reporting experience
  • Incredible work ethic and the ability to show initiative

  • Experience with influencer marketing
  • Experience with customer care
  • Experience with SEO and Google Analytics
