Team Lead – Marketing Development Program

As the Team Lead, you steward and advance the Marketing Development Program (MDP) in developing our future leaders. You support a team of MDPs from their entry into the program through to their post-program role in TELUS. You have an overall program view and ensure all components of the program are well-supported, working in lock step with each other and are moving forward in alignment with the strategic goals of the program. You partner closely with rotation managers to ensure roles deliver exceptional experience and are aligned to strategic talent development goals.

Here’s how
  • Rotation Management:
    • Coordinate selection and assignment of MDP rotations every 8 months
    • Align the skills needs of rotations with the development needs of MDPs
    • Manage ongoing feedback process from MDPs & rotation Managers
    • Ensure MDPs and MDP managers have a positive experience so they can become advocates for TELUS MDP
  • Program Coordination:
    • Partner with and build strong relationships with a wide group of stakeholders across Consumer Marketing to optimize the coaching, mentoring and development (technical, business acumen) of each MDP to support their career objectives
    • Support recruitment process, enabling recruitment primes to source the best candidates in a complex, large-scale recruitment effort
    • Evolve the recruitment strategy to include non-traditional recruitment approaches which includes collaborating with internal and external partners, driving diversity of thought in our MDP classes
    • Prepare executive level reports of program KPI’s
    • Evolve the design and delivery of the MDP, based on analysis of feedback and data
    • Initiate business case innovation projects to support the development of MDPs
    • Lead annual review of MDP
    • Logistics management & tactical support
